Goodbye Ear Infections!
Today Addison had her tubes put in. We took some pictures before the surgery. She was so cute in her hospital gown and was so good even though she was hungry. Afterwards was a different story. She had a rough time waking up but is feeling fine now! Thanks for all of the prayers, calls, and encouragement.

Never a Dull Moment...
Our poor baby had her second and third ER visit over the weekend. She had a mild cough Sat night and by early Sunday morning she was weezing and had labored breathing. So once again we made our way to the St Francis emergency room. After two HOUR long breathing treatments, stereoids, chest x-rays, tons of tests, another double ear infection and 8 hours of fun...we were discharged, only to get prescriptions filled and mom got to take a shower and then back we went. After two more hours, in the hallway with a styrofoam cup that had oxygen hoses taped to it, Addison was admitted to the Children's hospital with bronchiolitis (I had never heard of it before). We stayed overnight and she was released on Monday afternoon. They were wonderful! Addison actually loved the huge metal crib and liked the doctors and nurses too. We will be going to the ENT for tubes soon.
She was such a good happy baby, despite how sick she was. Here are a couple of pictures with her nebulizer, which she now reaches for with a smile.

Addison loves to lean into the mask and squish her face. It makes me laugh...she is so silly...

Crawling and teeth!
Addison is crawling now. She is not very fast yet, but I am confident it will not take her very long. She also has two teeth that came in the last week of Feb. I wanted to post a picture with the announcement but I cannot seem to get one. I am so happy they are here!!!

ERs and Popsicles
Double ear infections, high fevers, runny nose, cough, breathing treatments and the flu (vomiting and diarrhea). Poor baby has had it all...including her first trip to the emergency room. Addison got really dehydrated from the flu symptoms (very scary and happens so fast!!!) and we had to take her in. Luckily they did not have to put in an IV-thanks to our wonderful ER nurse. He suggested putting a grape popsicle in her Pedialyte and she has been drinking it every since. Something about the sugar and the cold going down makes a good combo.

She likes orange too...

Despite the sickness, Addison is trying to crawl....

Starts with the toy...

Leaning forward....

On all fours...

Stretching....

And down on the belly...

Oh well....maybe next time.
Thank you Mom for coming in late at night to help us with our very sick baby! We were so glad you were here.
Thank you Sandy for taking care of her the day the diarrhea started and for cleaning all her clothes for me. You are so sweet and we love you!
